Target 2.2. By 2030, end all forms of malnutrition, including achieving, by 2025, the internationally agreed targets on stunting and wasting in children under 5 years of age, and address the nutritional needs of adolescent girls, pregnant and lactating women and older persons.
Indicator 2.2.2. Prevalence of malnutrition (weight for height, standard deviation >+2 or <-2 from the median of the WHO Child Growth Standards) among children under 5 years of age, disaggregated by type (emaciation and excess weight)
Sub-indicator 2.2.2.4. Overweight rate in adult population
Overweight rate in the adult population
This indicator measures the percentage of overweight adults according to their body mass index (BMI). This index is defined as \[IMC=\frac{M}{H^2}\]
where M is the mass or weight expressed in kilograms and H is the height of the individual expressed in metres. An individual is considered overweight if \(25\leq IMC <30\).
