Sub-indicator 16.10.2.2. Extent of adoption of constitutional, statutory and/or policy guarantees for public access to information globally
Adoption of legal frameworks in favor of access to information and guarantee of the exercise of the right of access.
The indicator is calculated from the sum of the answers given to questions 1 to 5 of the questionnaire of the “Survey on public access to information (SDG Indicator 16.10.2)” conducted by UNESCO. The values assigned to the answers are 1 if the answer is affirmative and 0 if it is negative. Questions 1 and 3 include an intermediate response scored at 0.5 points. Finally, the evaluation of question 4 is constructed by assigning 0.2 points if the answer to the 5 items into which it is broken down is affirmative.
Specification: for the completion of item c) of question 4, the annual individual evaluations of compliance with the obligations of active disclosure and management of the right of access to public information have been taken into account.
