1) Cada fila representa la distribución de las causas múltiples de cada capítulo de la CIE-10 por la causa básica (capítulos CIE-10) del  certificado en el que vienen informadas. Por ejemplo, un 18,56 % de las enfermedades infecciosas están informadas en  defunciones de causa básica tumor

 Debido a que a partir del año 2013 se ha tenido acceso a los datos del Instituto Anatómico Forense de Madrid, se  ha introducido una mejora metodológica en el proceso de esta estadística, que ha permitido asignar de forma más  precisa la causa de defunción en las muertes con intervención judicial. Como consecuencia, defunciones que estaban  asignadas a causas mal definidas han sido reasignadas a causas externas específicas. Por lo tanto, este hecho debe  ser tenido en cuenta a la hora de realizar comparaciones con años anteriores.
1) ~'causa de muerte (capítulos de la 10ª revisión de la CIE),Enfermedades infecciosas y parasitarias (1)'~Por motivos de comparabilidad, se incluye VIH+ (R75) en el Capítulo  I. Enfermedades infecciosas y parasitarias aunque la CIE-10 lo  encuadra en el Capítulo XVIII. Síntomas, signos y hallazgos anormales  clínicos y de laboratorio, no clasificados en otra parte 
 Por recomendación de la OPS se incluye en este capítulo el SRAG (Síndrome Respiratorio Agudo Grave) U04
