1) Standardised rate of PLYL by sex: The standardised rates for males and females are only comparable between regions and between years within each sex. Both the number of potential years of life lost and the standardised rate thereof increase considerably with regard to the same data for previous years, on having extended the calculation of this indicator to 79 years.
