Studies on mobility based on mobile phone

In 2019, as part of the preparatory work for the 2019 Population and Housing Census, the INE carried out a first mobility study 2019 based on mobile phone data.

Due to the COVID-19 outbreak in March 2020, a second study was begun to measure mobility during the state of alarm, which was renewed in different stages. The 2020-2021 mobility study was thus carried out from March 2020 to December 2021.
