- Last November, 179,355 properties were entered in the property registers, 4.2% less than in the same month of the previous year.
- Registered housing sales decreased by 15.1% compared to November 2022.
The number of property transfers recorded in the land registries (from previously executed public deeds) in November was 179,355, which was 4.2% less than in the same month of 2022.
As for registered property sales, the number of transfers was 93,927, with an annual decrease of 10.3%.

86.1% of registered sales in November were urban properties and 13.9% were rural properties. Among urban properties, 58.0% were home sales and purchases.
In November, the number of rural property sales decreased by 7.1% in the annual rate, while there was a 10.8% decrease for urban properties. Within the latter, housing sales recorded an annual decrease of 15.1%.
93.1% of the housing transferred by sale and purchase in November were free and 6.9% were protected.
In annual terms, the number of free housing sold by purchase decreased by 14.4% and the number of protected housing decreased by 23.5%.
18.9% of the housing transferred by sale in November were new and 81.1% were used.
The number of new home transactions fell by 11.1% compared to November 2022 and that of used homes by 16.0%.
Región de Murcia (16,7%), Castilla y León (15.6%) y Cantabria (9.2%) recorded annual rates of higher variation in the total amount of transferred housing in November.
Meanwhile, Extremadura (-25.9%), Comunidad de Madrid (-12.2%) and La Rioja (-12.1%), registered the lowest annual rates.
Regarding the registered housing sales, the only autonomous communities in which rates increased were Principado de Asturias (6.6%), Cantabria (5.1%) y Castilla–La Mancha (2.6%).
Meanwhile, Extremadura (-34.5%), La Rioja (-28.3%) and Comunidad de Madrid (-25.7%) recorded the highest decreases.

The Statistics on Transfer of Property Rights provide information on the number of rights on transfers of property during the reference month, on a national level, by province and Autonomous Community.
All information on transfers of property is taken from the information contained in the Land Registers for the whole country, by virtue of a partnership agreement signed in 2004 by both institutions.
